Maya Rudolph is the daughter of composer Richard Rudolph and singer-songwriter Minnie Riperton. Growing up, Rudolph attended Santa Monica’s Crossroads School, where she became friends with future stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Jack Black. She later enrolled and received her degree in photography at the University of California in Santa Cruz. The following year, she made her first TV appearance in Chicago Hope. Her debut film was As Good As It Gets and was followed by Gattaca.
She later joined Saturday Night Live, where she was known to impersonate several stars like Beyonce, Oprah Winfrey, Diana Ross, and even former First Lady Michelle Obama. Other acting credits under her belt are Kath & Kim, Grown Ups, Grown Ups 2, Bridesmaids, and Inherent Vice. She was also in The Happytime Murders, Hubie Halloween, and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. She is still active in the entertainment industry and has been outstanding in balancing work and personal life with ease.
